Australian Eco Adventures

about us

  • Australian Eco Adventures (AEA) commenced in 1991, and was one of the first special interest nature based operators in Australia emphasising experiences and factual interpretations in geology, ornithology, zoology, botany, anthropology, culture and photography.
  • We operate our own exclusive small group vehicles (max 20 people) offering experiences from Sydney to the Blue Mountains, Hunter Valley, NSW Outback and Sydney Harbour, with a range of 1 - 4 day itineraries. Exclusive charter itineraries are a specialty with tours available to every part of Australia.
  • A.E.A. assists a hand picked range small quality tourism operators that are closely associated with environmentally sensitive regions of Australia.
  • Our tours utilise a large variety of vehicles, including luxury Toyota Landcruiser 4WD, custom built Mitsubishi 4WD 16 seaters, specially built Mercedes 14 seaters, Toyota Coaster 18 seaters and Mitsubishi Rosa 20 seaters.
  • Our tours offer restricted access and genuine wilderness experiences.
  • The company offers niche market destination planning with an intimate knowledge of the areas promoted - speedy and accurate information on individual and group interests.
  • Customer Care: we know how much it means for people when they come to Australia - it is a long way from home and maybe the only time they come. So, we go to great lengths to make sure that it is a holiday of a lifetime.

What is ECOTOURISM?

All tours offered include the following 5 components that we feel strongly are a minimum requirement to be considered an ecotourism product:

  • Small groups with a maximum of 20 people on scheduled tours but we can assist with any group size. Our policy is that we break large groups into smaller units to ensure the integrity of the tour and provides a better experience.
  • Low impact to the environment and local inhabitants.
  • Interpretative sessions on recent and ancient history, flora and fauna species and geological significance of the region.
  • Cultural values and traditions.
  • Local community involvement.
